How The Freecycle Network puts giving into motion.

What it is

A reuse network for giving unwanted items a second life in local groups.

Model

Unconditional gift

Listing does not imply endorsement or partnership.

How it works

Freecycle’s public About page describes local groups for giving items away rather than throwing them away. The organization states that its model includes advertising and grants; this listing does not claim the project is ad-free.

What differs

Free reuse of goods is an unconditional gift of stuff, not a ceremonial tradition and not a time bank.
